Hotel Design’s Review:
The designer and the architect, Jacques Garcia and Alexandre Danan, were inspired by the Art Deco period and the elegant era of the great transatlantic liners of the Thirties. At the heart of the hotel, an amazing 800 sqm Andalusian Patio reveals 10 huge palm trees, a fountain and exotic horticultural species. The hotels 508 rooms, including 24 suites, compete with each other for elegance while incorporating the very latest technology. Two floors are dedicated to Executive rooms with access to the Executive Lounge and 46 rooms have terraces with breathtaking views over Paris. The "Le Safran"restaurant, with 3 outdoor terraces, offers an exquisite menu of traditional French cuisine fusing it with modern influences from around the world, producing dishes such as "Assiette Safran" (marinated fennel with saffron, stuffed "Espelette" peppers, tomato confits and buffalas’ mozzarella, tapenade), "Zafaran" (a lamb recipe with oriental flavour and saffron spice), Praline "Emotion" with lemon-orange cream. A specially created brunch menu is available exclusively on Saturdays and Sundays. With its grand entrance on the rue du Courcelles, the "Purple Bar" has already become one of the most fashionable places to be. With its sumptuous 30s décor of strong shapes and luxurious furnishings one could almost imagine oneself relaxing in the bar of a sprawling transatlantic liner. To match these surroundings, the hotel has created a cocktail and drinks menu to suit any mood. Copyright
